As exhibit designers for the Olympic Experience/Hall of Fame in Colorado Springs, we were asked to develop a scheme that would translate some of the concepts from the permanent exhibit into a touring exhibit housed in two identical 45-foot tractor trailers. Saatchi and Saatchi Marketing Services Group commissioned Donovan/Green on behalf of its client, M&M/Mars, to design a distilled exhibition on the Olympics.
Our charge was to do more than simply educate and stimulate visitors. It was to give visitors an awareness of many of the deeper and subtler issues connected to the Olympic Experiences. It was also to provide a dynamic, active, totally engaging environment to draw visitors who do not normally visit more traditional museums.
